Firefly

A firefly followed me and Pon into the apartment this evening after a quick trip to the pool. So I made a bug house out and an old dried beef glass and it's lid. I punched 4 holes in the lid using a screwdriver and hammer so the little guy could breathe.

I let Pon hold the jar for about ten minutes. Then I took it outside and let the fellow go. His constant circling in search of escape was making me sad, and I didn't want him to starve.

Pon enjoyed his little science lesson, and I now have an "observation jar"- a necessity for any mom with a curious kid!
